Because of this, a large proportion of vitamin D3 has been added to NEKTON-MSA to help attune the Ca-P ratio to the requirements of each individual organism. By means of vitamin D3, calcium and phosphorus are better deposited in the animal's bones, thus achieving full benefit of the mineral supply.

NEKTON-MSA is primarily for animals during breeding, gestation and lactation. At these times an animal needs more minerals. An increased dose of calcium, for example, reduces the fragility of cage-birds' eggs. USAGE

Above all NEKTON-MSA should be used on breeding animals, as the parent animal requires a greater supply of mineral elements than usual when breeding. At the same time NEKTON-MSA ensures sufficient provision of essential macro and microelements for the embryos.

For example, an increased dose of calcium helps prevent thin shells in the case of breeding birds, where very often the need in minerals (macro and trace elements) and amino acids increases considerably. NEKTON-MSA is just as essential for animals suffering from calcium deficiencies, too. NEKTON-MSA is not soluble in water. It should be added to soft food or mixed with bird grit.

The enclosed measuring spoon is for your convenience. It holds 1.7g, which means

1 spoonful rounded to 21/2 pounds animal weight for adult mammals
2 spoonfuls rounded to 21/2 pounds animal weight for pups and kittens
1 spoonful flat to 5 birds (medium-sized)
