Lory Life Nectar 3 lb. Avico Lory Life Nectar is a natural product that can be used by itself as a complete diet or as a supplement to existing diets. Lory Life Nectar is quite concentrated, dissolves instantly in water, and should be used in a 1 part concentrate to 5 parts water ratio. Lory Life Nectar can be mixed with fresh fruit for smaller species that have a higher carbohydrate requirement.
Lory Life Nectar has also proved to be a good supplement for hanging parrots and can be used for rearing lories and lorikeets; to do so add hot water at a 1 to 1 ratio and stir in a little applesauce. Iron has been kept to an overall minimum in Lory Life Nectar to avoid the occurrence of hemochomatosis.
This product can be pre-mixed and stored in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours. Present your bird with what it can consume in a period of 8 to 10 hours and less in warmer weather. 3 lb size is now packaged in a plastic bag as the manufacturer has switched from using the old style plastic containers.
