Manufacturer's size recommendations: Measure pet's length from collar
area of neck to base of tail. Measure height from the floor to the pet's
shoulder.
Small: Up to 13 inches Long by 8 inches high and 6 pounds.
Medium: Up to 16 inches Long by 10 inches high and 16 pounds.
Large: Up to 18 inches Long by 11 inches high and 22 pounds.
Note that your pet will have to be able to be "squashed" down to about 8
inches of height during takeoff and landing for underseat airline use.
This means that some pets which will fit for around-town use are still
too big for carry on.
