ZooMed Eco Earth Loose is an excellent coconut fiber substrate that is ideal for any size naturalistic terrarium setup. This Eco-friendly substrate is great for frogs, toads, dryland newts (not aquatic newts), tortoises, box turtles and other terrestrial type turtles, forest dwelling lizards and snakes, and all types of invertebrates (arachnids and tarantulas) including hermit crabs! Not for use with desert snakes.

This fine substrate is made from coconut husks and can be safely composted or recycled. Naturally absorbs odor and breaks down waste products. Helps to create ideal drainage for plant growth, and also helps to regulate humidity.
