This grounding probe for aquatic environments is created specifically to neutralize the "stray voltage" in the tank from the various electronic devices connected to the tank (i.e. a heater, filter, air pump, protein skimmer, a UVB light, etc.). The probe comes with a ten foot long wire lead to give plenty of space to create a drip loop. Excess voltage in the tank can cause stress on the aquatic species living in the environment, and protects you from accidental power surges. The titanium metal rod used is noncorrosive and nontoxic. This device must be connected to proven ground. If the proven ground is unknown, we suggest having a licensed electrician test the circuit for positive ground. Instructions are included with the probe. Can be used in freshwater and saltwater.
