ParaGuard is the a safe aldehyde based (10% by weight) parasite remedy available for parasites on fish. Unlike highly toxic and difficult to use formalin based products, ParaGuard contains no formaldehyde or methanol. Will not alter your aquarium's pH. ParaGuard uses a proprietary, synergistic blend of aldehydes, malachite green, and fish protective polymers that remedy many ectoparasites (e.g. ich, etc.) and external fungal/bacterial/viral lesions such as fin rot. It is useful in hospital and receiving tanks for new fish or whenever new fish are introduced to a community tank.
