API Aquarium Salt is ideal to provide a "Brackish" environment for your aquarium or to use as a disease preventative and recovery aid. Many fresh water species will benefit from a small amount of salt in their water. Research the species in your aquarium, as some fish and plants will NOT benefit from the addition of salt.

Use roughly 1 - Tablespoon for each 5 Gallons of aquarium water (not tank capacity, e.g. a ten gallon tank has less than 10 gallons in it after equipment and decorations are taken into account).
