Aqueon Specialty Phosphate Remover Filter pads are designed to remove excess phosphates from the water. Phosphates contribute to excess algae and diatom growth. Unlike other phosphate removing media, Aqueon Specialty Phosphate Remover Filter pads can be left in place for several weeks. They are much easier to handle and less expensive than other phosphate removing media.
