Introducing NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt, a specially formulated electrolyte mixture designed to maintain fluid and electrolyte balance in reptiles. The body fluid of reptiles primarily consists of water and certain salts, known as electrolytes. These electrolytes, which become electrically charged when dissolved in a liquid, include positively charged cations such as sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium, as well as negatively charged anions like chloride, bicarbonate, and phosphate.

These electrolytes play a crucial role in the regeneration of nerve and muscle function, maintaining acid-base balance, and preserving water balance. Many reptiles experience chronic dehydration due to dry living conditions, inadequate drinking, low fluid intake, or fluid losses related to illnesses such as diarrhea or blood loss. Such dehydration often results in the loss of not only water but also vital electrolytes.

It is essential to quickly replenish significant water and electrolyte losses, as imbalances in the body's water and electrolyte balance can lead to health issues. Special electrolyte solutions, such as NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt, are used for this purpose. Unlike mammals, reptiles can absorb water through their skin. By bathing, they can absorb fluids and electrolytes dissolved in the water, thereby maintaining their fluid and electrolyte supply.

NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt contains essential electrolytes that help balance fluid and electrolyte levels, aiding reptiles in quick recovery and regeneration after a loss of moisture. With an electrolyte content similar to that of bodily fluids, NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt is quickly absorbed and utilized by the organism.

Usage: NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt can be used either for bathing or added to drinking water.

For bathing:

• Add 1g (2/3 included measuring spoon) of NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt to 100 ml (3.4 fl oz) of water (8 level measuring spoons or 1.5 teaspoons per 1 liter (1.06 qt) of water), once a week. For severely dehydrated animals, the dosage is 1.5g (1 and a quarter measuring spoon) to 100 ml (3.4 fl oz) of water (11.5 level measuring spoons or 2 teaspoons per 1 liter (1.06 qt) of water). Bathing can be done 2 to 3 times a week.
• One level measuring spoon (enclosed) corresponds to 1.3g (0.046 oz) of NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt.
• Add NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt to the water and thoroughly mix until the electrolyte mixture is completely dissolved (this process may take up to 5 minutes). Check the water temperature. Ensure that the water does not get into the animal's face.

As a drinking solution: Dissolve 1g (2/3 included measuring spoon) of NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt in 100 ml (3.4 fl oz) of water; once a week. An application is especially recommended before and after transportation and after illnesses.

Storage: NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt should be stored dry and out of sunlight, between 15° and 25°C (59°F and 77°F). DO NOT STORE IN THE FRIDGE !!!
